Sextortion is when someone threatens to post private information, explicit photos, or videos of you online if you don't comply. They may do this to obtain cash, sexual favours, additional nude photos, or something else. It's more common than you think.
 
This is abuse, and it could originate from a stranger you met online or from a friend. Regardless of your age, gender, or sexual orientation, it can still occur. However, studies indicate that children, women, and teenagers are the most common victims.
